Polaroïds and mold

Women’s bodies have always been the subject of unabashed policing and scrutiny. Seen as inferior, imperfect and unsightly, many people seek to comment on their displeasure at appearances or seek to dismiss their existence altogether.

This body of work takes into question the value that our society gives to women's bodies through a mold alteration process. Mold as a medium presents a dichotomy between repulsiveness and beautiful liveliness that become the ornament of the picture.
